Blessed Elizabeth of the Trinity 1880 - 1906
Elizabeth Catez was born near Bourges, France. She entered the Carmel of Dijon in 1901 dying there five years later of Addison's Disease. From her earliest years she had a deep sense of God's presence in her life and was determined to give herself totally to Him.
She was a gifted pianist and a very sociable person who had a great flair for friendship. She left a small corpus of writings in which the mystery of the Indwelling of the Trinity is explored, a mystery which was central to her life and inspired her spirituality. Her Feast Day is on November 8th.
